‘Dichroic Wings’ is an abstracted glass sculpture created by American artist Tom Marosz in 2017. Featuring a brilliant multi color, the sculpture strikes by the simplicity of its intertwining lines, along with its inspired depiction of wings. The subtle use of curves is beautifully highlighted by the purity of the metallic blue color. Tom cuts, grinds and polishes the glass, resulting in the piece’s architectural form. The elegance of the wings is transformed into a more primal effect, when the sculpture is inverted, and the piece becomes an animal with the hair on its back standing up. The gracefulness of it undulating silhouette and the fascinating multi-faceted color, will make this abstracted sculpture an exquisite decorative accent in any room, whether placed atop a pedestal or console table.
