‘Dichroic Wings Starfire’ is an abstracted glass sculpture featuring brilliant multi color dichroic glass. The sculpture strikes beautiful simplicity with its intertwining lines, along with its inspired depiction of wings. The subtle use of curves is beautifully highlighted by the purity of the metallic multiple colors. Tom cuts, grinds and polishes the glass, resulting in the piece’s architectural form. The elegance of the wings is transformed into a more primal effect, when the sculpture is inverted, and the piece becomes an animal with the hair on its back standing up.
