In front of the breathtaking backdrop of the baroque Frauenkirche, three monstrous structures similarly tower over the scene. Artifacts of a Syrian artist, who, through the exhibition of the three, on-end standing busses, delivers an appeal to the European community: remember the barricades of resistance to the War in Syria. The Frauenkirche, itself a symbol of both destruction – having been destroyed by the bombing of Dresden in WWII - and reconstruction, is once more confronted with the terror and devastation of war. The exhibit was a cause of strong political and public controversy.
