‘Donna’ is a large size contemporary mixed media on canvas figurative painting created by Dutch artist Casper Faassen in 2013. This piece depicts an elegant woman, viewed from behind. Casper uses a mix of paint and clay for the background while the female figure is a silk screen print accented with chalk and hand-painted details. Perfectly restrained, the painting strikes by the purity of its lines, the simplicity of its means and its contrasting colors.
