‘Champagne Composition – Large’ is a cut and polished optic glass abstract sculpture created by Czech artist Tomáš Brzoň in 2019. Featuring an elegant geometrical shape, this sculpture radiates a light champagne color that shifts to a deeper gold depending on the light that it captures, thanks to its dichroic coating. Tomáš uses pure optic glass, void of any defect, which gives a pure effect to the piece. He combines simple geometrical shapes, reflections and optical illusions to create a piece that is both mesmerizing and centering, and allows him to bring the inanimate to life. It takes him about a month to complete a piece, the most consuming part being the polishing. His work harnesses the captivating nature of glass by using its primary attributes. As such, the real subject of the piece is in fact light, which brings the piece to its full glory.
