"Convention and Eternity" is an extremely complex and symbolic figurative oil painting where Pham Minh Tuan is expressing his perception of modern Vietnam. It has been in a private collection for over 10 years. He believes many people are conflicted between tradition and modern influences on their society. Tuan was born in 1961 and graduated from The Hanoi Industrial Fine Arts University in 1984. He is currently a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and The Hanoi Literature Fine Arts Association. He is a well known Vietnamese artist who uses various mediums and expresses himself in powerful ways. Collectors have bought his work as he is being recognized and appreciated worldwide.
